What is a Solid CBN Inserts?

 

  • Solid CBN Insert is the abbreviation of the overall polycrystalline cubic boron nitride blade. It is a kind of blade made of cubic boron nitride micro-powder through high temperature and high pressure polycrystallization. It belongs to the machine-clamped Insert, which is different from the toolholder used for ordinary carbide inserts and PCBN inserts, and needs to be customized. According to different processing conditions, intermediate positioning holes, positioning pits, and wiper blades can also be customized.

 

  • The application fields of Solid CBN inserts are as follows:

  1. The processing of wear-resistant castings, the processing materials are: high chromium cast iron, chilled cast iron, nickel hard cast iron, high manganese steel, etc.;

    Typical parts are: industrial pumps, rolls, mill walls, liners, grinding rolls;

  2. For the processing of ordinary gray cast iron workpieces, the processing materials are mainly gray cast iron;

  3. Typical parts are: gray cast iron brake disc, brake drum, engine block, cylinder liner, air conditioner compressor, etc.;

  4. Rough turning and intermittent cutting of large and high-hardness steel parts. Typical parts include gear end faces and wind power bearing grooving.
