SCGN series CBN inserts have a 7° relief angle, which reduces the friction between the flank and the machined surface, and adjusts the sharpness and firmness of the cutting part of the tool with the rake angle, which enhances the edge strength and improves the cutting performance of the insert.
Common models of SCGN solid CBN inserts are SCGN0903, SCGN0904, and the commonly used nose radius are 004, 08, 12.
The commonly used toolholders for SCGN solid CBN inserts include cylindrical turning toolholders and milling cutters. Customized toolholders and cutterheads are accepted.
SCGN solid CBN inserts can efficiently mill a variety of cast iron and hardened steel components, enabling turning instead of grinding. Commonly used for milling gray cast iron brake discs, gray iron brake drums, boron cast iron cylinder liners, cast iron clutches, cast iron pressure plates, gray cast iron flanges, air conditioning compressors and other typical cast iron parts.
SCGN090412 type CBN insert has better machining effect in the machining of automobile brake disc. It can rough and finish the end face, outer circle and inner hole of brake disc. Feed quantity f=0.1mm/r.
